The contents of the Technical Manual are provided with consideration to and in accordance with the relevant Australian standards, legislative requirements and building regulations. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the information provided in this manual is appropriate and similarly conforms to the relevant New Zealand Standards, legislative requirements and building regulations.

Use of Technical Manual for Hebel AAC Block Structures
In New Zealand, AAC block structures require specific engineering design. Such design must be undertaken by a suitably qualified structural engineer. Furthermore, specification of control joint requirements & locations in Hebel AAC block structures must be assessed and verified by the structural engineer with consideration to the information within the Technical Manual and to the relevant masonry block Standards and Codes of Practice existing in New Zealand, specifically with reference to seismic design.
