Hebel Systems

External Walls

Hebel’s external wall systems are strong and solid, provide superior thermal insulation, are fast to install and look fantastic too.

The PowerPanelXL system uses a 75mm panel delivering around 25% better thermal insulation than a vented AAC system – and 31% better than brick veneer.

The PowerPanel50 system provides approximately 12% better thermal insulation than a vented AAC system – and 18% better than brick veneer.

Panels are fixed to steel or timber frames without the need or cost of an additional thermal break. The corrosion-protected steel reinforced Hebel AAC panels are extremely robust and non-combustible, making them ideal for bushfire prone areas.

Hebel’s PowerBlock+ system is the ideal alternative to concrete block construction offering significant increases in thermal performance, providing an extremely solid masonry home that’s comfortable to live in.

All three systems offer great acoustic performance, reducing noise transmission from external sources such as traffic, for a quieter home. The superior thermal properties mean your house is more comfortable to live in and there is less reliance on heating and cooling.

Hebel external wall systems give you a solid finish that can be rendered in a wide range of colours, with the design flexibility to achieve the look and street appeal you want.

Intertenancy Walls

Hebel’s PowerPanelXL Intertenancy wall system is compliant with the performance requirements of the NZ Building Code (NZBC) for low rise multi-residential frame construction.

Consisting of a non-load bearing PowerPanelXL partition, installed vertically and secured between the structural load-bearing steel or timber framing, the PowerPanelXL intertenancy wall system is not affected by wet weather during installation and can be made to length in the factory, resulting in efficient installation and construction.

The Intertenancy wall system uses an aluminum bracket to provide discontinuous construction for superior acoustic separation. This provides the ability to have back to back services or joinery between tenancies.

Floors

Hebel’s PowerFloor system offers exceptional benefits for homeowners, delivering the solid feel of a concrete floor at a lower cost.

The Hebel PowerFloor system consists of 75mm panels containing steel reinforcement with an anti-corrosion protection layer, to ensure maximum strength and durability. These panels are installed over steel or timber joists to provide an outstanding flooring solution for suspended ground floors or mid-floors with excellent thermal and acoustic performance. Once finished, the Hebel PowerFloor system provides a solid base for just about any floor covering, without the ‘squeak and bounce’ associated with particleboard, and without the price tag of concrete floors

We are often asked about fixings! Holes can be drilled in Hebel walls using a masonry drill bit fitted to a standard (not rotary hammer) drill. Once the penetration has been filled with the required cables or the like, the gap around the penetration should be filled with a reputable flexible sealant such as Sikaflex polyurethane sealant. Below is a table which outlines what you need for common fixings to Hebel such as outdoor lighting and clothes lines.

Q. If I damage my Hebel wall, how do I repair it?

Surface knocks and scratches can be touched up with the same surface coating finish that was applied at construction, like any masonry wall. In the event you are unsure, contact your builder for advice.

If the damage extends beyond the coating system and into the Hebel wall, professional advice should be sought to ensure the damage has not compromised the integrity of the wall.
